Live from the front

Dirty Intel here, live on the Lake Union Waterfront in Seattle, Washington. The situation is best described as unusual.

Today is Sunday, June 14th. One week away from the Summer Solstice 2020.

Now, I will be among the first to acknowledge the importance and potency of any and all solstice and equinox events. That being said, Solstice 2020 will not only be a marker in the lives of those of us here and now, the events of our time will also be a marker for future historians.

The exact date will, in all probability, be an item of debate. What will not be debated will be the fact that the future of the human race as a whole is the topic of the day.

Yes, I understand that such a statement is grandiose, simplistic and understandably dismissed as just one more piece of evidence of a desperate grasp for meaning and value that is so common among humans of our time. It is that… and it is more.

From my perspective, the statement that we are discussing and planning the future of the human race has one important distinction from previous moments of social unrest that have been centered around the future of certain, specific portions of Humanity. Portions defined by “difference.”

The fact that that our current dialogue is using language of inclusion as opposed to language of exclusion highlights a precipitous moment in cultural discourse. A moment where/when “they” became we.

We became us

And we choose to create the best story of humanity. Others can tell their stories, just as we tell ours. So visualize your best story .

And tell that story with every moment of your being. That is grace. That is progress.

Be well

and Be Intentional.

Tell your story!
