Princess America

I will never advocate for violence.

Princess Diana was lovely, eloquent, and adamant. That's good enough for me. From my perspective, any American that is willing to violate another human being's civil rights is a victim. A victim of the most potent, well funded propoganda machine in the history of homo sapiens sapiens.

We live in the information age my friends. The second amendment is no longer about firepower. The second amendment is, as it always has been, about accountability and transparency. Fucking hack my phone, my computer, ask my friends, coworkers and bosses. There are parts of me that I don't share. Some from my inability to accept that part of myself, but most of what I don't share is held back because I don't want to freak you all out. I say let's put our cards on the table. Let's open our beings, our hearts, our hopes and our ambitions to each other.

When a human commits an act of violence, justification flows like shit talk on the internet. We all see that act of violence in light of our own madness and, more frequently than I ever expected, we forgive that individual for their loss of control because all of us know the frustration and terror of living in a world we can't even witness effectively, much less navigate with any surety.

Princess Di took a stand against weapons of mass destruction. She took a stand against land mines. She took a stand against manipulating uneducated, malnourished, desperate communities into commiting acts of violence on and with each other. She was assassinated.

The Equal Rights Amendment still has not been ratified. The constitution of the united states of america was composed by men who could never even conceive a world where women vote. Men with Mothers, sisters, and/or daughters could never see these individuals as fellow citizens. As people with the right of consent.

When it comes down to it, that's what the American Dream is. The ability to say no. I won't give my energy to that idea. And the ability to say yes, I will give my energy to this. To me, consent is at the center of any true discussion of freedom and equality.

When I see compassionate, caring individuals spouting off about the need for violence, such evidence points to outside forces undermining their free will. Towards the deliberate use of hyperbole, peer pressure, fearmongering, data manipulation, fomo, the sweet dopamine loop of self-righteous indignation and myriad well studied rhetorical techniques surgically applied to produce a violent reaction.

I will promote peace and understanding. I will promote equal representation under the law, and I will promote the concept that as long as one of us remains in chains, none of us shall be free. And, I will always strive to be free. To act with intention towards my goals. No matter what the proponents of violence, do, I will remain true to my belief that freedom is not granted from any outside force.

No, freedom is acknowledged. It is taking responsibility for my actions. It is not something to be given or taken away. Freedom is embracing and promoting the ideals of compassion, understanding, tolerance and encouragement... The ideals that grant us the ability and imagination to aspire to grace.

So, go ahead and promote your violence and retribution, I don't have to forgive you, I have to forgive the forces manipulating you into believing that forcing someone else to do something is acceptable.

In my view, proponents of violence are victims of a phsycological and emotional rape and deserve all the love and care I can give them.

This is how I take it easy. Here's a hug for the whole beautiful madness of existence.

I got nothing but love.

Love is all I need.

Never give up.

There is always hope.
